It was a nice experience coming to this cathedral attending the mass for the first time and some other times, attending a wedding twice. But only lately when i went around the vicinity of this beautiful and serene place of worship that i saw its exceptional beauty. The back portion is like a castle different from the facade. This was made at around a decade ago and it is now becoming a popular destination for visitors not only for attending the mass but also to see the unique features within the compound. The biggest rosary i have ever seen. The House of Prayer, This Temple of Worship, The Home in which the Faithful are nourished by God’s Word and Sacraments. Tagumeños dedicated this church to the glory of the king of kings. The cathedral stands in a two(2)- hectare land situated in the Southern part of Tagum City. 3.WORLD’S LARGEST ROSARY
Discover Largest Rosary in the World in Tagum, Philippines: This massive Roman Catholic rosary is composed entirely of wood. castle-like Christ the King Cathedral in the city of Tagum is considered the largest rosary in the world. The 280 foot (85.5 meters) long rosary is made of linked beads that each weigh around 77 pounds (35 kilograms). The beads were cut and sculpted from Magcono trees that are native to the mountains around this region. The rosary is laid out in the park with a giant sculpture of Jesus. The giant rosary was originally intended to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the local archdiocese in 2005.

5.NCCC MALL
NCCC Mall Tagum is the second mall built by NCCC Group and the oldest mall located in Tagum City in the Philippines. The mall opened in 2000. The mall also caters to neighboring towns of Tagum City. On January 16, 2016, an incident occurred; a group of 9 people attempted to rob two jewelry shops within the mall. has been a household name in Davao City for the past four decades. From what was once a textile store, it has now established itself as a major player in the retail industry, going head-to-head with some of the country’s largest retail companies.
6.SAN AGUSTIN BOTANICAL PARK
It is an excellent plan initiated by the city government to have a botanical park. Even at this time it is already visible and one can enjoy the cool breeze and gentle wind up there. There are already good roads and some gazebos and pathways. The total area has yet to be attended to for the completion of this project. The project is targeted to be finished in year 2020. These days a little portion of some hectares out of the total area has been improved and is already a beauty to see. Located in the rural barangay of San Agustin, just a mere 15-minute ride from the city proper, is the Tagum Botanical Park. Solely developed by the City Government of Tagum, the 50-hectare park is brimming with lush greeneries, with tropical trees of different varieties planted in its hills. The sprawling park has several gazebos perfect for family picnics and gathering and will soon feature a zipline and trails for both biking and hiking. The Tagum Botanical Park is good alternative to the well-known and well-loved Energy Park, another city-developed nature park in Barangay Apokon.
7.FREEDOM PARK
Just walking distance from home, it’s a place where you can just sit and relax and observe people. It is lined with food stalls selling street foods. The improvement of the Freedom Park include the provision of new amenities and ensuring that the public open space project is made more green and revitalizing for both the residents and non-residents in Tagum; a walkable link between the Freedom Park and the Rotary Park will also be provided. The recognition of being part of the first batch of cities to become the national government’s recipient of the said assistance program came about in relation to the City of Tagum having public open space projects which include the revamping of the Freedom Park that will later on form part of what the City Architect’s Office call as the “City Walk.”
8.ROBINSONS PLACE
Robinsons Place Tagum Leading mall developer, Robinsons Malls, is building a premium shopping center at Davao Del Norte’s capital city of Tagum, named by the Asian Institute of Management as one of the seven leading cities to do business in the Philippines. Already the developer’s fourth mall in Mindanao, Robinsons Place Tagum is being constructed at the city’s National Highway, in an area close to residential subdivisions, universities, hospitals, as well as corporate and government centers. 9.MONFORT BAT SANCTUARY
Monfort Bat Sanctuary has been the house of a large colony of 2.3 million Rousette fruit bats since recorded history. They cover 75% of the ceilings and walls of their 245 ft-long cave. The sanctuary is located on Samal Island, about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) east of Davao City, Philippines. According to Guinness World Records, it is the largest single colony of this kind

2. Basilica del Santo Niño
a basilica in Cebu City in the Philippines that was founded in 1565 by Fray Andrés de Urdaneta and Fray Diego de Herrera. It is the oldest Roman Catholic church in the country, allegedly built on the spot where the image of the Santo Niño de Cebú was found during the expedition of Miguel López de Legazpi. And later after the destruction of the church was recovered intact, deemed miraculous and has become the oldest. This image of the Child Jesus is the same presented by Ferdinand Magellan to the chief consort of Rajah Humabon on the occasion of their royal Baptism to Roman Catholicism on 14 April 1521. The image was found by a soldier named Juan de Camuz forty years later, preserved in a wooden box, after Legazpi had razed a local village.[1] When Pope Paul VI made the church a basilica in 1965, he declared it to be “the symbol of the birth and growth of Christianity in the Philippines.”[5] The present building was completed from 1739–1740, and was designated by the Holy See as the “Mother and Head of all Churches in the Philippines”.[6]
3. Casa Gorordo Museum
Home of the first Filipino Bishop of Cebu, Juan Gorordo (1862-1934). A tour inside this residence is a brief journey into a Filipino lifestyle in a particular period between 1860 & 1920. The place presently features noted paintings, museum relics, a courtyard, antique household items and furniture. The Gorordo House was built in the 1850s and originally owned by Alejandro Reynes y Rosales. It was bought by Isidro Gorordo, a merchant from the Basque province of Vizcaya in Spain. Four generations of his family lived in this house including Juan Gorordo, the first Filipino bishop of Cebu. Thus, its present name. 4. Yap Sandiego Ancestral House
This is a 340 old residential home which is the oldest house in Cebu and the Philippines. The Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House (one of the oldest houses in The Philippines) is a house of wood and coral stones located in the corner of Mabini and Lopez-Jaena Street in the Parian District of Cebu City. Built during the late 17’th Century by the Chinese merchants residing in Parian. The Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House was built sometime between 1675 and… More 1700 and is considered as one of the oldest residential houses in the Philippines; it is originally owned by Don Juan Yap, a Chinese merchant with her wife Doña Maria Florido. 7. Magellan’s Cross
a stone kiosk in Cebu City, Philippines. The structure is situated on Plaza Sugbo beside the Basilica del Santo Niño[1] It houses a Christian cross believed to have been planted by explorers of the Spanish expedition of the first circumnavigation of the world, led by Ferdinand Magellan, upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines on April 21, 1521. The site where Magelan planted a cross in April of 1521, virtually the cradle of modern Philippines. The Magellan’s Cross Pavilion which houses the tindalo cross was built sometime in the 1800s. The structure is octagonal kiosk made of coral stone.[1] The pavilion and the tindalo cross itself sustained cracks due to the 2013 Bohol earthquake.[2] The original cross was also found to have deteriorated due to termites in 2015.[3] The pavilion was closed for renovations and was reopened in March 2016.[2] On the ceiling of the pavilion’s interior, is a mural depicting the baptism of Rajah Humabon and his household by Fr. Pedro Valderrama and the planting of a wooden cross by Ferdinand Magellan.[4][5] The artwork was done by Jess Roa and Serry M. Josol.[2]

Teodorico Soriano Adarna’s gesture of love to his late wife Leah Albino-Adarna, a life partner for 53 years. They are the grandparents of Filipina actress Ellen Adarna and owner of motel chain Queensland in Cebu. The entire structure is a devotion of love of a husband to his wife of 53 years. Dedicated in 2012 to Leah Villa Albino-Adarna, a wife of 53 years, the Temple of Leah combines Roman and Greek elements. The temple was built to preserve the teachings of a Chinese philosopher, Lao-Tse. While it wasn’t built for tourism purposes, it became one of the most famous Cebu tourist spots because of its beautiful architecture. Visitors will get an overlooking view of the city from a balcony. The Temple of Leah is located in Barangay Busay in Cebu City.
10. Sirao Flower Garden

2.Provincial Capitol Grounds
This is the official seat of the provincial government, and it served as the headquarters of the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II. You will love the Romanesque architecture of the building. It also has a nice surrounding park and lagoon that includes the Ang Paghimud-os statues, which Eduardo Castrillo made. You will also like the interesting sculptures found in the lagoon. Planning for the capitol, which was to replace the old Casa Provincial in the city’s Spanish quarter, actually started in 1910, in the day of the inauguration of Osmeña Waterworks, then Speaker of the First Philippine Assembly, took Governor General William Cameron Forbes to an exhibition baseball match, after which they inspected the future site of the building near Fuente Osmeña. 3.San Sebastian Cathedral
This is also known as the Bacolod Cathedral, and it is located along Rizal Street, which is across the Bacolod City Public Plaza. A small village inhabited by Malayans called Magsungay was placed under the protection of St. Sebastian by early Christian missionaries during the 1700s. This village was later came to be known as San Sebastian de Magsungay and was put under the governance of Bernardo de los Santos, the village’s first gobernadorcillo.[3] Due to widespread Moro pirate attacks, the people of Magsungay moved to a new settlement upon the hilly terrain called bakólod, the precursor of the modern-day city of Bacolod. In 1806, Fr. Leon Pedro was appointed as its first parish priest. Years later, Fr. Gonzaga, a young priest from Barcelona, would envision the construction of the San Sebastian Church
4.Balay Negrense Museum
This city is among the two Museum Cities, widely known as the National Historical Institute, with over 30 heritage houses and museums. You will go back in time when you walk along the street. The building was built in 1897. Victor Gaston inhabited the place and was survived by his twelve children since 1901. Gaston and his parents stayed there until his demise in 1927. After they abandoned the structure in the mid-1970s, the mansion suffered rough times without up keeping. Local Negrenses group then took up the project to repair and restore the heritage building, which was later recognized as the Negros Cultural Foundation.
